crime stories
punk rock
comedy
jazz
all genres
all give an indication
of what to expect
allows for stereotypes
and cliches
both good and bad
and you build a prejudice
jazz is pretentious
and for old people
comedy is stupid jokes
and even dumber characters
crime stories always end the same
with the bad guy stopped
punk rock
has the guys with the spiked hair
studded leather jacket
studded leather belts
simple songs
screaming and noise
and I love punk rock
but none of the symbols
or the stereotypes
fit me as a person
I don't fit into your label
I break your molds every time
no box can hold me
cause I love aggressive punk rock
but love beautiful tones
meditative sounds
and yes even jazz
try to put a label on me
and ill shake it off
